I began taking art seriously at the age of 12 when I began taking private oil painting lessons under Barbara Brown at the Galierie du Village in the Pointe-Claire Village and did so for about 10 years. My subjects tended toward still life and landscapes. Through high school I became fascinated with Japanese animation and though I am no longer am interested in the fad that is Anime, I cannot say that it did not have an influence on my style. I learnt to draw cartoons from copying what I loved. In the present time, I am trying to move my artwork away from that style and am pushing myself to develop something truly unique. My artwork is always a work in progress and I always am pushing to better my art.
